Hello everyone! The Memorial Day weekend was fabulous! We went to the country side Croatia and we had a blast! I hope you all enjoyed the holiday with your families too. Now, it’s time to return back to the reality and blogging, of course. I took some great family photos and a few just for fun. However, I did not take the photo below. My brother took it as we strolled through vineyards on the hill above my mom’s house. Still, I saw some potential in it and decided to tweak it a bit.
The editing process did not need as much work as it may seem. The process went something like this:
I used clone tool to clone parts of the sky and the green parts, and to remove the standing guy.
After that I used color adjustment technique to correct colors.
I warmed up the entire picture right before I sharpened it. I avoid using preset warming/cooling actions that you can find by going to Images-Adjustment-Photo Filter. I rather open a new blank layer (Shift+Command/Ctrl+N) and fill it with the color I want. I use Paint Bucket Tool (G) to fill the layer. I used a random orange shade here. After I filled in the layer, I double clicked on it and Layer Style dialog opened. I selected Overlay style and decreased opacity to 65%.
Finally, I applied the above mentioned sharpening.
Don’t you love Photoshop? I certainly do because it allows me to be an artist, well, sort of.
